it's a chincilla..it's not a mouse or a rat...it looks better :)it's from the same family as squirrels.chinchilla is well known for its furit's a same they kill it for it cuz they're really beautiful

I have heard that cats have a bacteria in their saliva which is dangerous to chinchillas, but I'm not sure how true that is. Before getting one, I'd definitely look into that though. Also, like graykin22 mentioned, I would think a cat's prey drive would be an issue.

It could since cats have that prey drive. Better to keep them separate at all times unless you can introduce them properly and keep an eye out 24/7 when they are both out. |
