D# if it were 5ths.. C# 4ths, either way it's in key.

He says himself, this one tunes itself to the scale you're playing in. He's playing in E major so if you play E then G# it plays E B then G# C# etc.

thats why I dont like pitch shifters like these that have been around for years. it soudns kinda useless. Now an "Intelligent Pitch Shifter" like the one on the Korg Pandora PX4D is better because it adjusts to the key you are in like true harmonized leads. So its like...get this Boss Pitch shifter for $200 or get the PX4D for $50 less with way more options..

the last sentence just says what's wrong with the sounds, including amp etc..in case you missunderstand me,i am talking about this: "too much trebble, now bass,no reverb...ugly.."

Guitars don't have reverb... ever...

The octave shift sounds like something the Beatles would do...or at least something from the sixties. Very nice.

use a pitch shifter ;)

It depends how you use it. A lot of people like natural sounding guitar so they don't use pedals which make guitar sound like synthesizer. I use pitchshifter from my Zoom G1 multifx pedal to tune my strat to drop B for death metal. :p Mostly I play with a hi-gain distortion, fuzz or overdrive and a little bit of reverb. And that's all I need. |
