1st and goal from 3 1/2 yardline spikes ball2nd and goal runs ball to 1 yard line 3rd and goal runs ball doesnt score4th and goal spikes it...5th down...touchdown....the announcers were right before the play when they said it was 3rd down and the chain guys were wrong but they forgot about it wow lol

In fact That WAS a fifth down since the QB spiked it TWICE, on what wouldve been 1st and 4th down. Mizzou shouldve had the ball on downs and run out the clock...TOTAL official screw-up

na, its the side refs job to tell the chain gang and make sure its right. they also have bands on their fingers that keep track of it.

Well it seems Colorado actually needed to cheat 3 times to win the championship that year. We all know about the 5 downs and the "clipping" call. But, I'm pretty sure that they didn't even score on their 5th down.As a Georgia Tech fan, I will always hate Colorado. Almost as much as UGA.
