I also went to a handicap no destroy shelter in Penn. for my chow mix. Born completely blind with optic nerve and retina damage. Also some foot and toe disformalities. he runs, eats, poops, plays with the kids, chases squirrels and sleeps.....Hes a dog :)

I would love to adopt this frenchie! I had a frenchie that was unable to walk. He had a broken back from his mom sitting on him. The breeder gave him away and he was passed around. During this time someone shot him in the head with a BB gun leaving him with some neurological problems. I took him in and oh my what this pup showed me. How to love, the will to live, and never give up. Unlike any pet I had ever owned. Everyone told me to put him down. Dogs with disabilities are even more special!!

Looks and sounds an awful lot like a Spina Bifida dog to me. I wonder, did they x-ray the spine at the end of the body, near the tail, to see if it grew completely to the end? I certainly hope that they examine every possible avenue to diagnose this poor guy.
