yea what you say makes sense also. I was just trying to make myself feel better because I'm planning to buy a DSLR camera and the all the lenses are so expensive! :D

Actually that doesn't make sense, at all... How much money do you thinkg the workers win? I don't think they are making 100 dls a day right? and how many lenses do they make each day? hundreds probably. 6 weeks? that's nothing it's not like saying 1 lens comes out every 6 weeks, hundred if not thousands come out daily. Go take a look at how tequila is made, it takes about 12 years to make one bottle, and the process is also hand made. You don't pay so much for it.

95% of the process are manually done.6 weeks of work for one lens.Now I understand why those 300mm lenses cost 4000 bucks..
