u can use bitter apple to discourage chinchillas biting the plastic cages

Some rescues include the cage and all the trimmings along with the chinchilla. I got my two boys, a giant cage, food and treats, toys, and replacement shelving for $275.

Non-grey chinchillas will be more expensive, and the beige ones (Goldbar) are the rarest of all. Your best bet would be a reputable breeder known for healthy, exotic colors or a rescue.
